Budapest Downtown

The centre of Budapest downtown is the Vörösmarty square and the Váci Street. On the square visitors can find the famous Gerbaud Confectionery and the modern, fashionable Art Café, both popular places for travellers. The biggest walking area of Budapest is the Váci Street, on which cafés, restaurants and shops are waiting for the visitors. Another walking area the Dunakorzó follows the bank of the Danube from the Chain Bridge towards the Erzsébet Bridge. A place of interest is the Vigadó concert and ball hall, where the most famous artists like Ferenc Liszt, Wagner, Richard Strauss, Bartók and Kodály performed.
