Gellert Hill

The hill offers one of the best views on the city for travellers. The name comes from Bishop Gellert, who played a huge role in spreading the Christianity in Hungary. On the top of the hill, you can find the Citadel, a fortress that was built to keep always an eye on the city. From the terraces of the building, there is a marvellous panorama to the city, with the help of the telescopes you can focus on the most important attractions. The Liberty Statue cherishes the memory of the liberation from the Nazi rule. 3 important thermal baths operate under the Gellert-hill: Rác Bath, Rudas Bath, Gellert Bath.
