8360 Keszthely, Kossuth u. 11.

The establishment, opened in 1999 shows the national costume of last century of historical, great Hungary and the national, cultical and farm architecture by the help of visual aid. More than 700 large porcelain dolls present the old culture of costume from Nyitra to Szabadka and from Dévény to Orsova. The costumes were made almost solely in those villages and towns where they were worn in that time. Besides many of them got to the property of museum by competition. They were given to museum by the guards of tradition and the pensioners of old handicraft society. Almost as many as 200 visual aids (small buildings) show our national architecture. Here the visitors can be delighted with houses, small and large houses, bell-towers, Székely-gates, mills, and different farm buildings. The spectacle is finished by Balaton ships of count Festetics. They are real delicacies for those who like the specialities of past.
