The Pál Kiss Museum is one of the oldest rural collections of Hungary. It is hosted in Lipcsey-mansion built in 1840s. The permanent exhibition tilted Masters and Masterpieces gives an overwiev of traditional handicrafts of 19th century in Tiszafüred. It is installed in three rooms. There is a short historical indroduction in the first room then you can have a look at the products of famous saddle-makers, potters and joiner’s. There is another show case for embroideries and for pastoral arts (carvings made of bones, trees and leather works). There are panels on the history of the museum where photos, periodicals remind us of the many-sided activities of founders of the museum. Beyond the permanent show we have folk art, fine art, historical, ethnographical and natural history permanent exhibitions in the ohter three rooms of the building.
