In Nagyvázsony, there is the Kinizsi Castle, in Baláca the ruins of a Roman villa, a bit farther away on the road to Tapolca, the villages of the Valley of Arts, along main road 8 (E 248), in Bánd, the ruins of Esseg Castle, in Herend the Porcelanium and Porcelain Museum, the glass and crystal manufacture in Ajka, the calvary in Magyarpolány, the Roman bath in Bakonynána, the plant reserve and the abbey of Zirc - any hiking tour can be (and lead to) your destination.
Őskü's sight is the round church, Várpalota boasts with the Thury Castle. In Balatonalmádi, you can enjoy the biggest and most beautiful beach of Lake Balaton's northern coast, Balatonfüred is famous for the Jókai Villa, the Lóczy Cave, the Tagore Promenade, the Füred Campsite water sports centre and the Annagora Aquapark. Tihany is a nature reserve with the historic monuments of the thousand-year-old abbey with the tomb of András (Andrew) I and the open air ethnographic museum - just to mention the most important ones.
