Top Budapest Casinos

Budapest truly makes for an ideal and idyllic holiday location. The reasons are varied but it comes down to the city’s cultural and historic background.  Its rich heritage consists of Celtic, Roman, Hungarian, Mongol and Ottoman influences – all fighting for or occupying the city that would be Budapest. As a result of a melting pot of cultures and thus influences, the city of Budapest is breathtakingly beautiful. In more recent times the city has seen its fare share of revolutions – the last one back in 1956. These days it’s seen as a financial hub in Central Europe, is ranked as one of the most liveable cities with regards to the EIU’s quality of life index and is rated 7th as the most idyllic place to live.  The city also has a thriving casino industry – not huge, but still worth mentioning. Although there are a number of casinos within the city, the two biggest ones are the Las Vegas Casino and the Tropicana Casino.

The Las Vegas Casino has been in existence since 1992 and catering to customers 24 hrs a day. The casino is not particularly choosy with regards to dress code and welcomes elegant evening wear along with everyday casual wear.  As with most modern land based casinos, first time players are required to register  with the establishment and to be 18 years of age and older.  The casino itself is vibrant and provides the type of atmosphere sure to keep its patrons hanging around for hours. The staff is well trained the players get to choose from 2 roulette machines, 65 slot machines and 27 table games.

The other Budapest casino worth mentioning would have to be the Tropicana. This establishment is particularly memorable for its bar which sports a tropical theme – in line with the name and theme of the casino – and serves cocktails named after the toucan bird. The casino is relatively young, having only opened its doors back in 2000 but all the classic games of chance can be found within its walls. This one is bigger than the Las Vegas Casino and has 86 slot machines and total of 17 table games comprising of American Roulette, Black Jack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em Poker and Mini Punto Banco.  The Tropicana is open 24 hrs a day.

And that’s just a small bit of the entertainment the great city if Budapest has to offer.  There are at least another eight casinos situated around the city for visitors and locals to peruse.
